 Hello! Welcome to The Evergreen, a local publication focused solely on Hudson, Pelham, Salem and Windham, and the people and businesses that live and work here. When I saw that our community did not have a newspaper, it was evident that we don’t have anything to thread us all together. A majority of people in our community do not participate in social media online, or if they do, they must subscribe to multiple sites on facebook and hope that they don’t miss something in your feed.

I wrote for a community newsletter in Salem for the last five years. I interviewed residents, town officials, artists, and builders just to name a few. I took pictures to illustrate their lifelong work and I brought all of this to the reader. I always kept it truthful, informative and positive. I will do the same thing with The Evergreen. This first issue has some space intentionally built in to invite the community to send in your contributions... whether it is an obituary, or some community event.
